Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Lyons, NY

Step into an impactful role supporting students across K-6, with some engagement with middle and high school learners, as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. This contract position covers the full academic year and offers the chance to work closely with general education students focusing primarily on speech and language improvements - nonverbal caseloads are not included. Collaborate alongside dedicated educators and families to help students build essential communication skills that fuel their confidence and academic growth. Qualifications And Desired Experience Current SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience working in school settings with general education and speech needs strongly preferred Familiarity with K-6 populations; comfortable extending services to some middle and high school students Adept at designing and implementing individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs Flexibility to adapt intervention approaches; open to limited virtual service delivery if absolutely necessary Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication abilities Primary Responsibilities Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostics for student caseload Develop, implement, and monitor speech-language therapy interventions Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning Serve as a resource and advocate for speech and language development within the school community Benefits include a stable, full-time schedule across the school year, professional collaboration, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to student success in a supportive environment.
