Human Research Technologist

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Family and Community Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Human Research Technologist. This Human Research Technologist position will provide research support for Dr. Jennifer Moss in Family and Community Medicine as well as assist the Department of FCM as necessary. This includes:

• Preparing study IRB materials
• Study participant recruitment and enrollment
• Data collection activities
• Data management Development and maintenance of REDCap databases
• Preparing and mailing study materials
• Distribution and tracking of study materials, including compensation and self-sampling kits
• Study closeout procedures
• Manuscript writing/preparation, as appropriate.
• Assisting with study implementation
• Abstract/poster submission drafting

Candidates should be able to work independently and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and the ability to contribute to the Penn State College of Medicine and FCM's missions. Facility with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, descriptive statistics, and Penn State COM IRB are preferred.

If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Professional, this position requires:

Associate Degree

No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.

Required Certifications: None

If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Intermediate Professional, this position requires:

Associate Degree

2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

Required Certifications: None

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $40,608.00 - $64,668.00.
