Expediter - 2nd Shift

Summary Description This position supports the warehouse by identifying, collecting and sorting product for customer orders and preparing them for shipping. May pull orders from inventory, deliver production material and supplies, or stage finished product. Essential Duties Retrieve customer orders and locate products and communicate locations with team members. Pull reports as needed from the computer system and close out orders when complete. Follow established standard operating procedures. Sort and stack product accurately by type and size. Perform daily housekeeping of inventory racks and staging areas. Load and unload product manually. Follow established safety procedures. Package product as needed. Maintain a clean and safe working area. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED. Essential Job Skills and Experience No previous experience required but prior warehouse work experience is preferred. Proficient with computers. Skills & Knowledge Required Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and with a team. Ability to multi‑task. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team lift. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Good hand‑eye coordination. Physical Environment & Working Conditions This position involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. The plant is not climate controlled. Noise levels can become high.
