Reports to: Produce Manager
Primary Purpose: Provide quality customer service within the Produce Department, maintaining standards in line with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent service, and minimizing shrinkage through proper procedures

Maintain a fast, friendly, and accurate customer service environment to create a positive shopping experience

Be courteous and helpful to other associates.

Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of produce is done according to company policies and guidelines.

Unload trucks for the Produce Department.

Use company tools such as the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Ordering (CAO) system.

Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines, and report any unsafe conditions or accidents promptly.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge when on duty, maintaining a neat and clean appearance.

Complete required Computer-Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.

Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.

Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Meet minimum age requirements for the job.

Ability to use computers and communication systems.

Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.

Bend and lift products up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Pull or push up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances.

Handle a variety of substances (cleaning materials, packaging, fresh produce, plants, cleaners).

Tolerate extreme hot or cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time
