Locums Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery - San Francisco, CA Location: San Francisco, CA Specialty: Neurosurgery Position Details Locum Tenens Assignment Practice Setting: Locums - UCSF Health Medical Center at Parnassus Competitive Compensation Available Travel and lodging assistance may be available Opportunity Overview Locum Tenens Opportunity Prime Staffing is seeking a qualified provider for an exciting assignment. fixed Contract Length: 26 weeks (options to extend and locums to perm available) Shift Details: full time 5x8, M-F Schedule: M-F 8x5 Work Details: •Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, M-F weekly •Patients per day: census varies, from 8 to 20 - depending on how busy facility is and how many transfers come in from other facilities •Patient population/age: Adults •Department description: Sees both inpatient and outpatient patients in neurosurgery care. Provider will work both inpatient and outpatient. Outpatient is managing post op patients, case management, ordering imaging, scans, etc. Inpatient is managing brain tumor patient, neuro ICU, meningioma, etc. Facility receives transfers of high acuity patients from other facilities. •EMR: epic •Special procedures: pulling drains •Can train on pulling EVD drains, not required •Skills required: Practice Setting: •Inpatient/outpatient •Hospital Requirements: •Board Certification: •If NP: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC required •If PA: must have a master's degree in physician assistant studies •License required: yes, CA •DEA: CA DEA required weith schedule 2/2n •Certifications required: BLS •Minimum experience required: •Must have at least 1-2 years working in neurosurgery or complex surgical floors. •May consider providers with neuro ICU experience Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60days Interview Expectations(how many?): 1-2 interveiws Rate is all inclusive Interested?
