Location New York, New York Shift: Night (United States of America) Description: Lab Science Saves Lives: Lab Technologists Make It Possible Lead Lab Technologist - Generalist - Nights NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is the singular source of care and caring for New Yorkers who live and work south of 14th Street. The full-time Lead Technologist, Nightshift position is needed to serve as a lead generalist for the laboratories. This position will perform testing and help oversee operations between the Blood Bank, Chemistry and Hematology, and Microbiology departments at night. Lead the flow process of the Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology departments. This includes running Quality Control, calibration of instruments and performing patient testing within the department that includes not only automated but several manual tests as well. Work to help resolve patient testing issues, as well as help oversee instrument troubleshooting issues. Monitor and work with the Supervisor to make sure supplies do not run out and prevent them from being able to perform patient testing. This is a full-time, Night shift position, working 12:00am - 8:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. Now offering competitive sign-on bonus up to $10,000: Experiential bonus commensurate with experience Preferred Criteria Prior Microbiology and Chemistry or Hematology experience Prior experience in a hospital system Leadership skills Required Criteria Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York Education Department Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with Master’s degree or 1 years of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
