CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our cardiovascular operating room team. This role involves providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries.

The CVOR RN will work a schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional coverage until 5:30 PM. There will also be a late start on Wednesdays once a month, to be discussed during the interview process. The RN will participate in a call rotation, which may require 10-15 days of call per month, including weekends and holidays, with a response time of 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the cardiovascular operating room and provide comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with a variety of cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR, VATS/thoracotomy, robotic lung surgeries, and aneurysm repairs.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and participate in preoperative and postoperative patient assessments.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CVOR setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) are required.
• Ability to float within the main OR or outpatient surgery center as needed.
• Must be able to circulate outside of the CVOR, specifically for C-sections.

Scrubs will be provided, and orientation for the unit may take up to one week. There is a team lead and a house supervisor available for additional support.
