Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Dispense medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients regarding their use.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor therapeutic outcomes and identify potential drug interactions.
- Administer immunizations.
- Compounding medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care in acute care settings.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy standards.
- Educate patients on medication management, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy and participate in continuing education.
