You will work closely with business, compliance, and technology partners to structure, draft, and negotiate a wide range of technology agreements. If these values resonate with you, we would like to hear from you.Job responsibilitiesStructure, draft, and negotiate agreements with third parties for technology products and services, including for intellectual property, SaaS, software, hardware, maintenance, reseller, professional services, market data, platform, artificial intelligence, data use, and cloud services mattersManage end-to-end negotiations and coordinate with internal stakeholders to achieve timely and successful execution of agreementsSupport the firm’s investments and acquisitions by conducting diligence on technology companies, focusing on intellectual property, controls, privacy, and technologyBuild cross-functional teams with business, procurement, compliance, and strategy partners to address novel legal issues related to new technologies in financial servicesAdvise on contract negotiation, documentation, and dispute resolution for technology transactionsInterpret and advise on existing and emerging laws, rules, and regulations relevant to technology and outsourcingDeliver clear, effective legal advice to both legal and non-legal professionals, including senior executivesManage multiple complex matters simultaneously with outstanding organizational and project management skillsFoster strong client and inter-department colleague relationships across a global matrix organizationRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsLaw degree or educational equivalentMinimum of three years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or corporate law environmentExtensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts for technology and outsourcing transactions with third-party providersStrong analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skillsDemonstrated business judgment and strategic thinkingProven ability to independently identify issues, analyze problems, and provide viable solutionsExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational creative problem-solving, and negotiation skillsAbility to work accurately under pressure, handle deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a high-performance environmentAbility to build consensus and collaborate across a global organizationStrong client service orientation and relationship-building skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with global regulatory issues relevant to technology in financial services, including outsourcing and third-party risk managementStrong interest in new and emerging technology solutions and applicationsExperience supporting technology investments and acquisitions, including due diligence on intellectual property rights and privacyKnowledge of cloud, data management, and technology transactions in a financial services contextExperience working with cross-functional teams on complex legal and business issuesFamiliarity with consumer lending processes and matters, including procurement and management of credit scores All candidates for roles in the Legal Department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment. Attorneys must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing or otherwise eligible to practice law in the jurisdiction in which the position is based.
