Role Description The Receptionist role at MYPAINDOC, P.C. is a full-time, on-site position located in Columbus, NE. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, managing check-in and check-out processes, and answering incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. Daily tasks include scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying and updating patient information, and handling basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and managing records. The role also involves coordinating patient flow with clinical staff, collecting and organizing necessary paperwork, and responding to inquiries about office procedures and services. This position requires consistent professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong focus on delivering a positive front-desk experience. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in core receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and handling front desk operations. Strong phone etiquette skills, with the ability to answer, route, and manage calls in a clear, courteous, and organized manner. Solid clerical skills, such as data entry, filing, document handling, and basic computer use (e.g., email, scheduling systems, office software). Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Customer service skills focused on patience, empathy, and professionalism in interactions with diverse individuals. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA awareness). Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality, with the ability to work on-site full time in Columbus, NE. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical administration or office management is a plus.
