Systems Integration Tech Lead

Role Description

IEM is seeking a full‑time Systems Integration Tech Lead to join its Critical Infrastructure division. This role leads the design and strategic oversight of complex system integrations across enterprise applications, data platforms, and operational technologies supporting mission‑critical and emergency management environments.

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for multi‑system integrations.
• Ensure system interoperability, accurate data flow, and alignment with integration standards, IT policies, and solution architecture.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, vendors, and executive stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end integration solutions.
• Approve integration designs, data models, and technical specifications.
• Develop integration standards and best practices.
• Oversee high‑complexity testing, validation, and deployments.
• Lead client workshops and executive briefings.
• Manage vendor dependencies.
• Provide technical leadership during emergency activations and restoration efforts.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years or more of IT Experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Integration Tools such as MS Azure, Java EE, IBM MQ.
• Knowledge of Web services, Rest API, and SaaS.
• Understanding of typical utility applications and their connection (CIS, GIS, OMS, etc.) and associated application landscape including AMI.

Requirements

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in Electric Utility (preferred).
• Bilingual: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
