Medication Aide Supervisor

Job Summary:

Join our team at Jonas Ridge Assisted Living, a 57-bed assisted living community in Jonas Ridge, NC, where we specialize in the care of older adults and those needing assistance with their activities of daily living. We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate Medication Aide Supervisor to oversee our PCA and CNA team. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily activities of PCA and CNA staff, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures

• Provide guidance and training to staff members to ensure knowledge of resident care and facility procedures

• Monitor and maintain accurate records of resident care, including vital signs and treatment plans

• Assist with medication administration and management, as needed

• Collaborate with the Medication Technician and Supervisor-In-Charge to ensure smooth operations and effective communication

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement

• Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff members

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PCA or CNA

• Possess current or expired NC Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certification or 80 Hr Patient Care Aide (PCA) training certificate

• Ability to lift and transfer residents, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

• Valid NC Driver's License (if applicable)

• High School diploma or equivalent required
