Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required, travel experience required License: Must possess a valid DC license or a compact license Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred. - Ability to work every other weekend and holiday. - Expected to take postpartum patients when needed. Description: Looking for an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Candidates must have two years of Labor and Delivery experience. Travel experience is required. Nurses will be expected to work 3 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30. Candidates should possess certifications including C-EFM, BLS, and NRP at the time of submission. Nurses must be comfortable taking care of postpartum patients. Work will take place in a baby-friendly organization. Candidates should be able to handle complex delivery situations and provide appropriate care. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with cesarean sections and managing labor and delivery patients. Teamwork with interdisciplinary support services will be essential. Nurses will also be responsible for triaging obstetrical patients and administering medications as needed. A commitment to patient care and safety is paramount. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Nurses should be flexible and able to adapt to changing patient needs. Documentation and charting skills are necessary within the unit's charting system.
