Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12s (0630–1900) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a vital member of the OR team, assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical interventions
• Set up and maintain a sterile field, implementing technical and aseptic practices in accordance with AORN Standards
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures across a variety of service lines, including proper use of instruments, sutures, and stapling devices
• Accurately perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times during procedures
• Save and properly identify all specimens according to department policy and procedure
• Report and recognize faulty equipment or unsafe conditions, and demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (CST) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing across multiple surgical service lines
• Familiarity with surgeon preference cards and procedure preparation workflows
• Experience with a variety of surgical equipment and instrumentation in an acute care setting
