EHS Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day maintenance and monitoring of EHS programs, procedures, and policies at a site. Main programs include ergonomics, machine safety, lockout/tagout, PPE, Job Hazard Assessments, Hazard Communication, contractor safety, hazardous waste management. Complete EHS metrics, lead accident and hazard investigations, recommend corrective action, conduct and prepare the format for periodic EHS inspections and site audits, and assist with the top sustainability initiatives for the site. Develop, maintain, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with all local, state, federal regulations, and company EHS program requirements. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and codes and act as liaison to regulatory agency personnel. Manage the employee safety training program, including developing and delivering training curricula and tracking employee participation. Provide technical knowledge in the development of EHS controls, programs, and general workplace hazard control strategies. Conduct EHS reviews for new product development, facility modification, product manufacturing modifications, and new equipment/machinery installations. Specify the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment inventory to ensure onsite personnel have adequate protection from workplace hazards. Review the procurement of chemicals and materials purchased, including maintaining the library of SDS’s. Oversee emergency response activities and manage the site’s emergency response team. Promote a strong safety culture through outreach initiatives and employee and management engagement. Complete job safety, ergonomic, and PPE analysis. Manage contractor safety program. Manage site workers compensation program and lead incident investigations. Manage incidents, hazard IDs, near misses, safety inspections, and safety audits using the site’s safety, health and environmental database (SHED). Manage the site’s ergonomics program. Conduct site audits for compliance with company global standards. Maintain day‑to‑day EHS programs at the site, including new employee orientation, EHS management systems, and regulatory record keeping and reporting. Administer company compliance with regulatory permits, prepare applications, interpret regulations, and maintain written EHS programs. Collect safety metrics and conduct trend analysis. Provide oversight to the safety committee. Facilitate and grow the site behavior‑based safety program. May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications 3‑5 years of experience in the safety or environmental field, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls for workplace hazards. Demonstrated ability to determine training needs, organize, and conduct training. Demonstrated skills in machine safety, ergonomics, and building safety culture programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, including the ability to interact with senior management and large employee groups. Proficiency with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and slide presentations. Excellent communication skills in a variety of media (PowerPoint charts, written reports & memoranda, and verbal). Experience managing contractor safety programs and site workers compensation program. Knowledge of hazard identification, incident investigation, and safety audit processes. Experience with safety, health and environmental databases and reporting. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: 77,700 to 144,300 (USD). Exceptional qualifications, experience, and location may impact salary.
