Matrimonial & Family Law Associate Attorney

New York, NY (On-Site) | Full-Time
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000

Morgan Legal Group, P.C. is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our New York City office to focus on Matrimonial and Family Law matters. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2–3 years of experience , courtroom exposure, and confidence managing active litigation in divorce and family law cases.

Responsibilities

Draft and review pleadings, motions, stipulations, and settlement agreements
Handle contested and uncontested divorce matters
Manage child custody, child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution cases
Appear regularly in Supreme Court and Family Court for conferences, hearings, and motions
Conduct client consultations and provide case strategy
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active New York State Bar license (required)
2-3 years of matrimonial and/or family law experience
Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills
Experience handling court appearances independently
Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
Strong organizational and communication abilities
