Chemist I - GC VOA (Multiple Shifts) Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest - Calscience, Tustin, CA

Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest seeks a Chemist I to prepare and analyze environmental water and soil samples using gas chromatography techniques. The role involves sample preparation, data evaluation, instrument maintenance, and compliance with EPA protocols and quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare water and soil samples for analysis using purge and trap gas chromatography
- Evaluate chromatography results for qualitative and quantitative accuracy
- Perform basic instrument maintenance including column replacement and ion source cleaning
- Upload and peer review data in laboratory information management system
- Prepare standards, reagents, and maintain instrument calibrations per QAQC requirements
Requirements
- 1+ years operating gas chromatography in academic or production laboratory
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and evaluate chromatography data
- Work independently following written and verbal instructions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Production-oriented work experience preferred
Compensation: $18-$22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
