IT Service Desk Administrator (Contractor)

Job Overview IT Service Desk Administrator (Contractor). This is a contract position located in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. The role reports to the IT-Service and Support Supervisor and requires presence in the Baltimore facility.

Job Responsibilities Technical break/fix support of all IT systems. Deployment of end‑user IT systems, hardware, and software. Interface and maintain effective communication with business users and other global IT team members when resolving incidents and fulfilling requests. Identify proactive ways to reduce the number of incidents in the environment. Assist in documentation of IT processes and procedures and maintenance of the Knowledge Base. Assist with managing regional vendor relationships. Perform planned system changes and upgrades with minimal impact to business operations which may require after‑hours or weekend work. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study or ≥3 years of work experience in a help desk setting. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize assigned work according to business need and priority. Flexibility with work schedule and availability for evenings and weekends. Self‑managed, able to work well alone and in a global team environment. Strong analytical skills; ability to perform root cause analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to occasionally work weekends or holidays. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders, bend, stoop, and operate hand tools. Must work in the Baltimore facility. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $20.91 to $44.57/HR. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate.
