RN - Case Manager

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to provider orders.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions or escalation of care as needed.
• Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs.
• Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and facilitate referrals.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Support the orientation, mentoring, and education of staff, students, and peers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska or other U.S. state required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Case Management certification within 2 years of hire is required.
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• High-risk competency validation required for direct patient care nursing roles.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, evidence-based practice, medication safety, and infection prevention.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical systems.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Willingness to work in a moderate-to-high noise clinical environment.
