Remote Full Stack DeveloperThe Remote Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications across both front-end and back-end environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote, distributed team.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications, ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability.Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.Implement server-side logic, APIs, and integrations using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby on Rails.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Data Science, QA) to deliver high-impact features.Optimize application performance across the stack, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.Participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and uphold engineering best practices.Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Work autonomously in a remote environment, owning features end-to-end and ensuring timely delivery.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).1–5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, or Angular.Solid experience with back-end languages: Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby on Rails.Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization (Docker).Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively in a remote-first environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with microservices, GraphQL, or event-driven architectures.Background in R&D, prototyping, or evaluating emerging technologies.Experience collaborating with data science teams or deploying ML-powered applications.Prior experience in public-sector or enterprise consulting environments.Compensation & Work EnvironmentCompetitive remote-work salary ranges typically between $72,000–$210,000 USD depending on seniority and company.Opportunities for professional growth, innovation, and ownership of high-impact features.Role ImpactFull Stack Developers are essential in remote-first organizations due to their ability to independently own features across the entire stack, reducing handoffs and accelerating development cycles.
