This position plays an important role in preparing quality meals, supporting daily kitchen operations, and helping provide a welcoming dining experience for the residents we serve.Schedule & CompensationFull-time position with set days and every other weekend rotation required.Starting pay: $17 per hour.About the RoleAs a Prep cook/ Cook, you’ll take an active role in preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals, collaborating with the Director of Dining Services, and supporting our dietary team. Your contribution will ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and our residents enjoy high-quality meals in a safe, clean environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare meals according to planned menus, meeting special dietary requirements and portion controls.Follow standardized recipes and help plan special meals or introduce new menu ideas.Train, coach, and supervise dietary staff to maintain excellent service standards.Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, following daily cleaning schedules.Report equipment and supply needs to keep the kitchen running efficiently.QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.Ability to follow recipes and understand special diet orders.Strong attention to detail and knowledge of food sanitation principles.Prior cooking experience required.Working ConditionsAbility to stand, walk, lift, carry, and handle kitchen equipment and food products throughout the shift.Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds and work in varied temperature and humidity conditions.Personal hygiene standards for Food Service Employees must be maintained.Why Join Trinity Glen?At Trinity Glen, you’ll be part of a team that values excellence, compassion, and outstanding service to our residents.
