Clinical Research Coordinator | Rare Disease

Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for rare and ultra-rare genetic diseases, including Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC), and is building out its clinical operations team to support an active, growing patient program. This is a contract position requiring full-time, on-site work at NIH in Maryland, expected to last 1–2 years or longer. The Role The Clinical Research Coordinato r will support an NPC research program that includes a Natural History Study (a non-interventional registry protocol) and an Expanded Access Program (EAP), which provides investigational treatment access to patients with NPC. Depending on team needs, the coordinator will be assigned to one of these two protocols. The role will work under the direction of the site's lead study coordinator and the Principal Investigator, and will be fully integrated into the NIH site team. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate, timely data entry of patient/source data into NIH's internal clinical and research systems Provide day-to-day administrative and study coordination support for the assigned protocol (Natural History Study or EAP) Assist with scheduling, document management, and maintenance of regulatory and study files Support visit coordination and communication between patients, families, and the clinical team Collaborate closely with the lead site coordinator and Principal Investigator on daily study operations Maintain compliance with NIH institutional requirements, data systems protocols, and applicable regulatory standards Serve as an on-site point of contact for day-to-day questions from patients, families, and visiting study sta Qualifications Prior clinical research, clinical trial, or clinical data entry experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant administrative/healthcare experience will also be considered High attention to detail and comfort with high-volume, accurate data entry Strong organizational and administrative skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team Must be able to work full-time, on-site at NIH in Maryland Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required NIH credentialing and system access prior to start #J-18808-Ljbffr Meet Life Sciences
