Position Overview Software Engineering Manager – Data and Automation Technology, PNC. Lead a team of engineers in Cleveland, Strongsville, or Pittsburgh, ensuring predictable delivery and operational excellence across multiple product lines. Responsibilities Manage a group of software engineers, driving delivery speed while maintaining quality and risk controls. Own full SDLC execution: requirements alignment, design, build, test, release, and support. Establish and continuously improve engineering practices to enhance code quality, reduce defects, and increase reliability through peer review, automated testing, and CI/CD health. Guide teams on modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, git workflows, branching strategies, and release readiness. Lead solution architecture and design decisions, communicating trade-offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Oversee development projects, application support functions, and compliance with quality standards. Drive professional growth and development to maximize staff contribution and effectively meet business needs. Analyze applications to ensure they satisfy business needs and specifications. Qualifications Hands‑on Java expertise, Modern language features, and best practices for enterprise UI applications supporting MDM master data maintenance. Strong experience with Spring Boot, Angular, RESTful APIs, dependency injection, security patterns, and testing practices. Mastery of SDLC disciplines and quality practices: design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, release readiness. Hands‑on understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; ability to guide teams on build/deploy reliability. Proficiency with git workflows, branching strategies, and standard-setting for team scalability and production safety. Proven leadership in solution architecture, design decisions, and effective communication of trade‑offs. University or college degree with 5+ years of industry‑relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience. At least 3 years of prior management experience. Location & Compensation Locations: Cleveland, Strongsville, or Pittsburgh. Base Salary: $96,250.00 – $223,080.00 (varies by location, market data, skills, experience, and education).
