Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Knoxville, TN – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Pay & Schedule Hourly Pay: $25.00 per hour Hours Per Week: 50+ hours Schedule: Monday - Friday, varying start time Route & Equipment Run in: Local Area Route: Home Daily Tractor Type: Straight Truck Equipment: pallet jack, stair walkers, forklifts Freight: High touch – medical supplies TWIC card preferred, but not required – reimbursement provided Benefits Uniforms and boot allowance provided Quality employee discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, cell phones, travel Support for truck purchase and company driver support program Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Class B CDL and appropriate endorsements Experience: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within past 5 years, OR 5 years within past 10 years Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug & alcohol verification for last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Ability to follow written/oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines Identify and mitigate safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer Perform other duties as assigned Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
