Registered Nurse - Acute Telemetry

Provide independent nursing care in a 30-bed telemetry unit, addressing routine and complex patient needs. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following the nursing process. Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care activities accurately. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Delegate tasks appropriately to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and care plans. Meet competencies related to self-leadership and team leadership, adhering to standards of practice. Qualifications And Skills BSN preferred; at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred. Current RN license in the state or a compact license; BLS certification is required. ACLS certification required; additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, and NRP may be necessary within specified time frames. Successful completion of new nurse orientation, competency validations, and participation in residency or onboarding programs for new licensees. Strong assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and delegation skills. Key Duties Deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety and quality standards. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with certification requirements.
