Control Law Engineer - Level 4

Description: You will be the Control Law Engineer - Level 4 for the Mission Systems Roadmaps (MSR) Demonstrations Team, responsible for advancing cutting‑edge technologies within Skunk Works mission processing environments. What You Will Be Doing As the Control Law Engineer - Level 4 you will translate mission requirements into robust software solutions that enable rapid prototyping and integration. Design, develop, prototype, integrate, and test middleware and software applications for mission systems. Solve complex middleware challenges with a focus on commonality and reusability. Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements through sustainment. Collaborate with vehicle mission systems, internal software teams, cross‑functional stakeholders, and external customers. Contribute to technology maturation for transition to program implementation. The position requires an active Interim Secret clearance to start. Location: Fort Worth, TX. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a related STEM discipline. Experience with MATLAB and Simulink software development. Knowledge of flight control algorithms, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC). Desired Skills Active Secret Government Security Clearance. Experience with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD concepts. Experience with C, C++, Java, or a related language. Experience with software integration conducted with software from multiple different teams. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including MS Teams. Demonstrable work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment.
