Director of Accounting Shared Services

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Director of Accounting Shared Services to lead Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management functions. This strategic leadership role will oversee financial operations, optimize cash flow, drive process improvements, and lead automation initiatives that support continued growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee AP, AR, and cash management operations.
• Improve working capital performance, collections, and payment processes.
• Manage banking relationships and treasury management activities.
• Drive automation, process improvements, and financial systems enhancements.
• Develop and lead high-performing AP and AR teams.
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships with external financial service providers and business partners.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting operations, or shared services.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing AP, AR, or finance operations teams.
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of treasury management, cash flow, and financial controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and AP/AR automation tools.

• Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
• Proven ability to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
