MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies following established protocols set by Radiologists. This position involves operating the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images consistently and preparing the scan room and equipment appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Operate the MRI scanner to obtain images of consistent optimal quality.
• Prepare the scan room and necessary equipment before procedures.
• Position patients, coils, and equipment as per the requirements of the scan.
• Maintain communication with patients throughout the scanning process to ensure comfort and understanding.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Completion of a Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist Required.
• Preferred experience: 1 year in CT or MRI settings.
• Licenses:
  • Registered Technologist (R) Required.
  • Registered Technologist (MR) Required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support Required.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability every other Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Certification Requirement

American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification is required within 2 years from the date of hire.
