Make a Meaningful Difference as a Night Shift RN in Assisted Living:

Bring your clinical judgment, compassion, and calm leadership to an overnight Registered Nurse opportunity in Highland Park, Illinois. As a Night Shift RN in Assisted Living, you will help create a safe, reassuring environment for residents while building rewarding relationships with an interdisciplinary care team. This in person role offers the chance to use your nursing expertise in a setting where attentive assessment, personalized care planning, and responsive interventions truly matter.

What You Will Do:

• Deliver attentive overnight resident care, completing patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and identifying changes in condition promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments accurately while maintaining complete, timely nursing documentation.
• Develop and update individualized care plans that support resident wellbeing, comfort, safety, and clinical needs.
• Use sound clinical judgment to respond to urgent situations, communicate concerns, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
• Partner with caregivers, providers, residents, and families to ensure compassionate, resident-centered continuity of care.
• Support a positive night shift environment through dependable teamwork, clear handoffs, and professional communication.

What You Will Bring:

• You hold an active Registered Nurse license and are prepared to practice confidently in Illinois.
• You have strong patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning skills that support safe nursing care.
• You bring experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, medical surgical nursing, acute care, telemetry, hospice, or another clinically relevant patient care setting.
• You can work independently overnight while knowing when to escalate concerns and collaborate with the care team.
• You communicate with empathy and professionalism, helping residents and families feel heard, respected, and supported.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is welcomed, along with a commitment to ongoing nursing education and evidence-based practice.
• Experience with post-anesthesia care, dialysis, labor and delivery, or other specialty nursing environments is valued but not required.
• Credentials such as NIH Stroke Scale, Trauma Nursing Core Course, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification are beneficial where applicable.

Compensation and Benefits:

This overnight RN position offers an annual salary of $90,000 to $100,000 , based on qualifications and experience. Eligible benefits include health insurance, 401(k), vacation leave, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
