Store Sales Associate

The Store Sales Associate is a key member of the US Commercial team and plays an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This position supports retail and contractor customers by providing product recommendations, color matching, order support, and outstanding service.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Sales Associate helps drive sales success while maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused store environment.

The starting pay rate for this role is $18.00 per hour.

This position is scheduled within typical store hours:

• Monday – Friday: 7am – 5pm
• Saturday: 8am – 12pm
• Sunday: Closed

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions
• Assisting retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing
• Mixing, tinting, and matching paint products according to customer specifications
• Building knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes
• Processing customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels
• Supporting sales initiatives and contributing to achieving store sales goals
• Loading, driving, and delivering customer orders via company vehicle
• Resolving customer concerns and escalating issues when needed
• Safely handling, loading, unloading, and organizing products for stocking and order fulfillment
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment
• Supporting daily store operations and team priorities as needed

Qualifications include:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license required, must pass all background items and physical
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support
• Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including flexibility based on business needs
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment
