Proof of the Pudding, the food service provider forthe Joliet Slammers,is looking forSuiteServersIn this role, you will provide excellent customer service,help create a positive dining experience,beresponsibleforthe distribution of food items to customers in a banquetand or suitesetting andto provideexceptional customer service to allProof of the Puddingguests andclients.Adhereto food safety standardsand alcohol standards.We are offering competitive pay and on-the-job training. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic eventsandcatered events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure thesetting upof suites, clubs, andbuffet stations which may include décor. Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques. Set out, move, and carry food products and equipment from prep area to service area. Refill buffets as needed with full understanding of what is being served. Provide excellent guest serviceexperiencewhile working in a very fast-paced environment. Keep work areaclean andcoordinate actions with theFOH Managerto ensure flawless customer service. Managing time effectively. Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed. Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene. Knowledge of event menu items and their contents. Ensure all sanitation procedures arefollowed. Performs other related duties asrequired. QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of upscale/VIP service stylesrequired. Communicate well and convey instructions written and verbal Must work well in a team environment Ability to work independently and in ahigh‑stress, fast‑paced environment Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations Food Handler Certification ServSafecertified or is available to receive training. QualificationsSpecialized Qualifications Excellent listening and communication skills. Renowned time management and organization skills Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to goabove and beyonda client’sneeds. The ability to work alone and as ateam.
