A growing, outpatient-focused, multi-specialty healthcare organization is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiologist to provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular care in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role involves the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of cardiovascular disease, collaborating with primary care providers and allied healthcare professionals. Practice Info Outpatient-focused, multi-specialty healthcare organization Technologically advanced ambulatory setting Team-based approach to improve cardiovascular outcomes Primarily based in outpatient medical office settings May require travel between multiple clinic locations Work environment includes direct patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and utilization of advanced cardiovascular diagnostic technologies Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, lipid disorders, and cardiomyopathies Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies, including Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Nuclear Cardiology Studies, Stress Testing (Exercise and Pharmacologic), Holter and Event Monitor Interpretation, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and Cardioversions Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessments and develop individualized treatment plans focused on prevention, early intervention, and disease management Provide pre-operative cardiac evaluations and risk stratification when appropriate Educate patients regarding lifestyle modification, risk-factor reduction, medication adherence, and long-term cardiovascular wellness Coordinate specialty referrals and higher levels of care when clinically indicated Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, care coordinators, and ancillary clinical staff to ensure seamless continuity of care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) Compensation Salary between $325,000–$350,000 negotiable Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Minimum three (3) years of clinical cardiology experience preferred Experience practicing in an outpatient or ambulatory care environment preferred Active and unrestricted Florida medical license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease Board Certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology preferred Current DEA registration BLS and ACLS certification preferred Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
