Manufacturing Operations SupportVorteq Coil Finishers is looking for Material Handlers to join our fast-growing team. We have positions available on our 2nd and 3rd shift teams. Your contributions will be valued, recognized, and your potential is limitless!This is a United Steelworkers Union position where you will operate all equipment safely and efficiently following the successful completion of safety and training programs. Maintain inventory accurately by identifying, labeling, placing materials and supplies in stock, and recording the location of inventory. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders while completing necessary paperwork and data entry. Training will take place on 1st shift, (6 am-2 pm), and can last from 2-3 weeks.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties to the safety standards established as they relate to the position.Qualified to operate all material handling equipment efficiently as determined by successful completion of the training program.Perform daily maintenance checks of assigned equipment and operates in a manner that minimizes maintenance costs.Stock, remove, and transport materials to and from storage in all departments (raw materials, finished products, cartons, etc...) in a manner that minimizes material damage and loss.Identify specific finished products, raw materials, etc...and maintain plant storage areas according to material location requirements.Be aware of and employ proper stacking techniques.Load and unload trucks, complete all necessary paperwork and data entry, and transport material to proper storage areas.Accurately verify inventory tags, labels, product count, and correct item number.Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar positionQualificationsMust have VALID driver's license and RELIABLE transportation1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferredSit-down forklift experience preferred, not requiredAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to & over 50lbsFunction successfully in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentContribute to team efforts by communicating and working well with othersExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesWillingness to work 6 days a week, including overtime and weekendsEnglish speaking is requiredComprehensive Benefit Package401k - Company MatchPaid Time Off50,000 Life Insurance - Company PaidOpportunities for GrowthEmployee Referral Program - Earn up to $1,750.00Schedule2nd Shift - 2pm -10pm, 3rd Shift - 10 - 6amShift can/will varyOvertimeWeekend availabilityShift differential when applicableEO Employer; including veterans and individuals with disabilities
