Director of Structural Heart in Danbury, Connecticut

Northwell Health's Department of Cardiology is seeking a Director of Structural Heart to join the Northwell Cardiovascular Institute at Danbury Hospital, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology with specialized training in structural heart with a minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience. The position includes time for clinical activities, leadership, operations, and academic pursuits.Danbury Hospital is a tertiary center providing leading-edge, patient-centered heart care across the full spectrum of cardiovascular health. From prevention and early detection to advanced intervention, surgery, and rehabilitation, our state-of-the-art facilities house advanced diagnostic capabilities, including non-invasive imaging, echocardiography, CT and MRI and stress testing. Our interventional team performs complex coronary interventions, including a busy STEMI program. Our structural program offers the full spectrum of aortic and mitral valve interventions with plans to expand into TMVR and tricuspid interventions in the near future. Danbury Hospital is part of Northwell's collaborative, system-wide structural heart team (6 total sites) that meets regularly to review outcomes and metrics, share complex cases, and jointly evaluate opportunities to access new devices and clinical trials.Specific responsibilities include:Clinical Leadership & Program DevelopmentEstablish clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices for structural heart interventions as well as drive innovation and adoption of new technologies and proceduresLead multidisciplinary heart team meetings and case selection conferencesQuality & OutcomesMonitor quality metrics and clinical outcomes, including oversight of data collection and submission to national registriesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit and retain specialized structural heart team members and provide leadership and training opportunities for support staffStrategic Planning & GrowthDevelop strategic plans for program growth, expand referral networks, and collaborate with marketing on promotion and outreachStakeholder CollaborationPartner with members of Northwell's Cardiovascular Institute as well as other departments and hospital administrationAcademic FocusPromote and enhance all aspects of the academic mission, including training and education as well as innovation and research=Northwell Health's Cardiovascular Institute brings together providers from across the system to work collaboratively to provide top care, to teach and train, to perform research, to engage the community, and to reach new heights in providing the highest quality care for all.
