Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 2 heart rooms with a 3rd possible
• Number of Staff: 4 RN, 3 CST
• Type of staff: Day Shift 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST
• Night shift: No night shift, on call only
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of equipment: EMR Meditech / CPN

Typical hiring profile:

• Skill Set: Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
• Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Minimum 1-year current acute care CVOR Tech hospital experience
• BLS
• Must have current active KS licensure
• Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• ACLS
• Open Heart and Cardiovascular experience
• Prior Meditech experience

• CABG and AVR
• MVR and TAVR

Best personality fit: Confident, team player and positive attitude

Communication with staff and providers

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

On-call is required 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month

Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: ECMO program restarting
