Packaging Technician

The Packaging Technician assists the manufacturing team in packaging, labeling, and order fulfillment of cannabis-based medicines. Responsibilities Accurately label, weigh, and package cannabis products while paying close attention to detail for quality. Package products in compliance with state regulations and company policies. Complete paperwork duties with consistency and accuracy. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Operate independently and as part of a team. Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient/customer demand. Effectively communicate with management and team. Adhere to Good Manufacturing (cGMP) policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE. Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred. At least 1 year of relevant experience in a labeling/packaging/customer service position preferred. Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills preferred. Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy required. Punctual with reliable attendance required. Good manual dexterity for packaging tasks. Ability to work in varying temperatures for extended periods with exposure to dust, allergens, and water; appropriate PPE will be provided. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; some heavy lifting may be required. Physical capability to sit frequently, stand or kneel for extended periods, and twist/bend/stoop/squat/kneel as needed; hearing and vision within normal ranges required for normal conversations and document inspection.
