Job Details Job Location: Duncan Regional Hospital, Inc - Duncan, OK 73533 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: Less than 25 percent Job Shift: Day Shift Job Category: Laboratory Overview The Lab Quality Supervisor will primarily be responsible for the operation of the Quality Management Services and the Phlebotomy area of the lab in accordance with the various regulatory and accrediting agencies. This will include the generation of various statistical administrative reports, oversight of quality assurance programs, accreditation and certification programs, and other related duties. The Supervisor will conduct audits and assist the Lab Supervisor and Lab Director with the overall administration of laboratory quality operations, and collaborate with hospital wide quality assurance programs. Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Coordinate and manage the laboratory quality assurance (QA) program. Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and ensure all regulatory requirements are met. Maintain current QA and phlebotomy policy and procedures, reviewed by the Medical Director initially and annually. Prepare timely and accurate reports to inform management of status and implementation plans of programs, services, and quality initiatives. Participate in educational programs to maintain subject matter expertise and expand management skills. Provide a positive influence on employee motivation by encouraging high-performance standards and recognizing excellence. Support and assist in development and maintenance of the Laboratory Information System. Perform technologist duties as required by absence or peak workload. Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy. Adapt assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the physical, cultural, age‑specific, and other developmental needs of each person served. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education opportunities, including internal and external offerings. Use assistive devices for lifting (mandatory). Comply with all safety and health standards, rules, regulations, and orders applicable to the position. Adhere to and promote safety protocols at all times. Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values. Meet all required conditions of employment, including required vaccinations, per DRH policy. Perform additional duties as required or delegated. Qualifications Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills with email, word processing, and spreadsheets; advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills preferred. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, remain flexible and adapt to urgent situations. Ability to effectively multi‑task and be self‑directed. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution. Advanced degree desirable. At least five (5) years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the appropriate technical discipline(s). Two (2) years of supervisory or previous leadership experience preferred. Certifications, Licenses & Registrations Current medical laboratory scientist certification (ASCP or equivalent). Specialty certification in appropriate discipline desirable. Current valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained. Safety and Health Requirements Safety‑Sensitive Position under Oklahoma law: applicants must test negative for THC in pre‑employment and post‑employment drug tests. Respirator and fit testing is required for all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet‑producing procedures, or caustic chemicals. Vaccinations are required per DRH policy; medical and religious exemptions are available upon request. #J-18808-Ljbffr
