Responsibilities 

• Facilitate the placement of business that does not qualify within Alfa’s underwriting guidelines or with lines of business that Alfa does not write
• Responsible for underwriting, quoting, binding new and renewal policies, and processing endorsements and cancellations.
• Communicate professionally with sales force, customers mortgages, attorneys, and other insurance companies, intercompany personnel, i.e. accounting, claims, legal, life, and other underwriters, etc. in person, by telephone, e-mail, and handwritten messages relative to additional information needed. 
• Contribute to Agency profitability by following standard of risk selection to maintain an acceptable loss ratio with each carrier.

Qualifications
 

• High School Diploma required; college preferred. 
• Six months’ work experience that required independent decision-making abilities is required.  
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, basic mathematical skills, and ability to convey ideas to others and learn quickly.
