About the Position

Job Title: RN ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years ICU License: Active Texas RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous experience in high-acuity ICU - Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring - Experience with ventilated patients - Post CABG care experience Description: This position involves working in a very high acuity unit with a focus on critical care. Responsibilities include the management of patients requiring intensive care, including but not limited to ECMO, heart transplant, and CABG. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ICU nursing and be skilled in the use of advanced medical equipment. Documentation will be done using Meditech. Floating to other ICU units may occur depending on patient volume and acuity. Weekend shifts are required every other week. Candidate must demonstrate professionalism in all interactions and uphold high standards of patient care. Participation in bedside shift reporting and proper documentation is essential. Dress code includes scrubs in specified colors, with guidelines on personal grooming and appearance standards. Tattoos and body art should be covered whenever possible, and visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Attendance and punctuality are critical for this role, following company-wide policies.
