Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating Night/Evening shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 - 07:30 or 15:00 - 03:30. Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics, in a dynamic emergency setting. Responsibilities include managing complex diagnoses and maintaining a patient ratio of 1:4, which may increase to 5 with lower acuity cases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform clinical assessments and interventions, including medication administration and monitoring.
• Triage patients and manage emergency cases effectively.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care procedures and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred.
• CPI and NIH certifications to be completed during onboarding.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
