Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a dynamic educational setting near Gary, IN. This role spans the academic year, beginning August 10, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. Work collaboratively across 25 buildings and engage with a diverse caseload of 48 students from Pre-K through age 21.

Role Highlights:

• Deliver direct and consultative support for students, ensuring access to education and fostering communication success.
• Oversee IEP development and case management, ensuring compliance and individualized goal-setting.
• Provide expertise with assistive technology, troubleshooting devices, and training staff as needed.
• Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate records to measure student growth.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to optimize learning environments and access.

Caseload Details:

• Majority of students receive consult or monthly support services.
• Varying frequencies:
  • 21 students: 1x/month (20–30 minutes)
  • 16 students: 1x/quarter (per reporting period)
  • 4 students: 2x/month (30 minutes/session)
  • 2 students: 3x/month (10–30 minutes/session)
  • 1 student: 3x/week (60 minutes/session; 12x/month total)
• Serve both teacher-of-record (TOR) and teacher-of-service (TOS) roles.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid certification to teach students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
• Prior experience in educational settings preferred; strong IEP and case management skills required.
• Familiarity with assistive technology tools used for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel within a multi-building assignment.
