Police Officer Trainee

ANSWER THE CALL Join the Roseville Police Department in the role of Police Officer Trainee. We are accepting applications for the Limited-term Full-time position of Police Officer Trainee. The appointee will attend a P.O.S.T. certified basic academy during regular academy hours and other scheduled departmental exercises. Successful completion of the academy is required to continue employment and be promoted to a Police Officer. DEFINITION To perform sworn law enforcement and crime prevention duties involved in the protection of life and property; and to perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of law‑enforcement services and activities. QUALIFICATIONS No experience is required. Equivalent to completion of 12th grade, GED, or higher degree from an accredited institution. Valid California driver’s license by date of appointment. Must be age 21 by date of appointment. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certificates within first 12 months of employment. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives immediate supervision from police academy staff; receives technical and functional supervision from an assigned Field Training Officer.
