Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will work night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30, with opportunities for 36 or 48 hours per week as per manager discretion. This position may require floating between the Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU), so experience in these areas is preferred. Familiarity with the EPIC electronic health record system is essential.

Education and Experience

• Minimum one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months, with acute critical experience within the last 12 months.
• Alternatively, experience as an EMT or ED Tech with at least two years in a relevant setting and in good standing.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification to be completed within one year of hire is desired.
• MICN, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications are encouraged and recommended.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.

• Potential exposure to blood and body fluids; protective measures must be taken during tasks with inherent exposure risks.

Communication Skills
