Are you a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney who enjoys negotiating significant settlements, preparing cases for trial, and taking on insurance companies on behalf of injured people?

You may be an excellent fit for Injured Workers’ Law Firm.

We are seeking an attorney to represent injured workers throughout Virginia. Prior workers’ compensation experience is valuable, but it is not required. We are particularly interested in attorneys with plaintiff-side personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance litigation, or other litigation experience who know how to evaluate damages, develop evidence, negotiate effectively, and litigate contested cases.

This is not a position for an attorney who simply wants to process files. Our attorneys take ownership of their cases, develop meaningful relationships with clients, negotiate substantial settlements, and litigate claims when necessary.

COMPENSATION AND EARNING POTENTIAL

This position offers a base salary commensurate with experience plus substantial performance-based compensation.

Attorneys who develop strong case values, move cases efficiently, negotiate effectively, and generate significant revenue can earn well above the base salary. Our compensation structure is designed to reward high-performing attorneys based on measurable production and results.

Attorneys are not required to originate business to earn performance-based compensation.

Specific details regarding the compensation structure will be discussed confidentially with qualified candidates during the interview process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage a caseload of Virginia workers’ compensation claims from initial evaluation through settlement or hearing
• Develop case strategy and identify the medical, vocational, and financial evidence needed to maximize recovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Conduct discovery and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and hearing exhibits
• Work with medical providers, vocational experts, economists, and other professionals
• Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense attorneys
• Prepare persuasive settlement demands and mediation presentations
• Represent clients at hearings before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission
• Advise clients clearly and honestly regarding case value, risk, and available options
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to move cases forward efficiently

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Virginia law license or eligibility for prompt admission in Virginia
• Litigation, negotiation, or plaintiff-side personal injury experience preferred
• Strong writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and take responsibility for a substantial caseload
• Workers’ compensation experience is not required; training will be provided to the right experienced litigator
