As a Police Officer in Johns Creek, you\'ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our community. Benefits and Compensation Salary : 28.91-45.55 per hour with a potential annualized salary of $63,150 - $99,489 for an 84-hour schedule. Sign-on bonus : $5,000 after the field training program. Pay type : Hourly; Full Time. Additional compensation details : 12% of base pay to 401a; 1 for 1 up to 5% match in the 457(b) retirement plans; financial adviser services available at no additional cost; potential total retirement benefits as described. Perks : take-home Tahoe if you live within 35 miles after field training; $800 monthly stipend if you live within the City limits; in-house gym and locker rooms; longevity bonus of $5,000 . Leave and scheduling : Vacation hours vary by years of service; sick leave accrues at 4.42 hours biweekly. Responsibilities On an 84-hour schedule/12-hour shifts, you will play a vital role in ensuring the protection and well-being of the community. Your responsibilities will include maintaining public safety, upholding the law, applying knowledge of criminal law and law enforcement practices, and carrying out special assignments with a visible presence within the city. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalency 21 years of age (no age limit) No felony convictions No marijuana use in the last two years Possess a valid Georgia Class C driver\'s license with a satisfactory driving record or be able to obtain one before hire Strong moral character and commitment to ethical policing Physical fitness and agility test Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism Additional Information The City of Johns Creek is a drug-free workplace and all positions are subject to a background screening. #J-18808-Ljbffr
