Additional compensation details : 12% of base pay to 401a; 1 for 1 up to 5% match in the 457(b) retirement plans; financial adviser services available at no additional cost; potential total retirement benefits as described. Perks : take-home Tahoe if you live within 35 miles after field training; $800 monthly stipend if you live within the City limits; in-house gym and locker rooms; longevity bonus of $5,000 . Leave and scheduling : Vacation hours vary by years of service; sick leave accrues at 4.42 hours biweekly. Responsibilities On an 84-hour schedule/12-hour shifts, you will play a vital role in ensuring the protection and well-being of the community. Your responsibilities will include maintaining public safety, upholding the law, applying knowledge of criminal law and law enforcement practices, and carrying out special assignments with a visible presence within the city.
