Job Summary - Patient Services Specialist (PSS) - Snoqualmie, WA


- Perform all core front-office duties, including patient registration, check-in, co-pay collection, and check-out, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule, confirm, and modify routine and basic healthcare appointments according to clinic standards and provider availability; may assist with procedural/surgery scheduling.
- Provide high-quality customer service by addressing patient needs, resolving concerns, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Navigate and document within electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Operate and manage multi-line phone systems to efficiently route calls, take messages, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering courteous and professional communication in person and over the phone.
- Complete a variety of administrative and clerical tasks such as scanning, filing, managing wait lists, and data entry to support daily clinic operations.
- Monitor appointment availability and assist in optimizing scheduling templates.
- Independently resolve routine patient and scheduling issues, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
- Support the onboarding of new team members by modeling workflows and best practices.
- Demonstrate effective communication, adaptability, and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Utilize standard office applications and tools (e.g., email, word processing, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines).



Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or related healthcare setting.
- GED or equivalent education.
