The Autism Specialist plays a crucial role in providing direct therapy and tailored interventions to individuals with autism. Focusing on evidence-based practices, this professional collaborates with families and multidisciplinary teams to enhance developmental outcomes and support behavioral progress. The role includes local travel for home visits to deliver personalized care and training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify individual needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans
- Provide behavioral therapy directly to individuals
- Monitor and document progress regularly
- Train and support parents in therapeutic techniques
- Collect and analyze data on therapy outcomes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
