Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU, ensuring all clinical standards are met while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Supervises and directs nursing staff to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill cardiac patients, analyzing vital signs and relevant data.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and clinical protocols.
• Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to safety and care standards.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Acute care or critical care experience, particularly in CVICU setting, preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved vendor required.
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
