We're hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Estimator who understands machine shop capabilities, cycle times, and tooling limitations. This role is responsible for building fast, accurate quotes in our Paperless Parts system for critical machined components. If you can tear apart a customer blueprint, spot missing data instantly, and build bulletproof cost models that protect our margins while winning business, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

• Own the Quote: Build fast, highly accurate quotes using our Paperless Parts and ERP software.
• Calculate Reality: Estimate raw materials, speeds, feeds, cutters, and machine constraints based on complex customer drawings.
• Drive the Supply Chain: Source materials, blast out RFQs to vendors, ruthlessly cross-quote suppliers, and negotiate the best pricing and lead times.
• Bridge the Gap: Collaborate daily with programming, machinists, quality, and engineering to ensure what we quote can actually be built efficiently.
• Track the Score: Actively monitor quote turn-around times and your win/loss rate to keep refining our competitive edge.
• Support Production: Transition won quotes into reality by assisting with PO generation for materials and subcontract services so production never stops.

What We're Looking For

• Shop-Floor IQ: 3+ years of estimating experience specifically within a precision machine shop environment.
• Machining Blueprint Literacy: Complete mastery of blueprints, drawings, material specs, and practical GD&T.
• Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of what it actually takes to run parts on a CNC mill and lathe.
• Tech Stack Mastery: Proficiency with CAD software, ERP platforms, Paperless Parts, and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Communication Skills: The ability to aggressively chase down missing info from internal teams or customers without delaying the quote.
• Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, US Citizenship (required), and completion of a background check.

This Is NOT:

• A slow-paced desk job where quotes sit in an inbox for weeks.
• A detached data-entry role for someone who has never seen a CNC machine run.
