Our client, Fortis Security Products designs and manufactures top-of-the-line security solutions for banks, pharmacies, and businesses nationwide. We specialize in innovative drive-up systems, secure transaction equipment, high-quality safes, and custom-built components.

Fortis is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join their dedicated 2nd shift team.

Fortis is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide welding operations.
• Prepare and clean metal surfaces for welding.
• Select and use appropriate welding equipment and consumables.
• Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity.
• Maintain and adjust welding equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant welding experience OR completion of a welding apprenticeship.
• Strong safety awareness and work ethic.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Must be located within a commutable distance to Greendale, IN
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 4 10's: Monday-Thursday, 6:30AM- 5PM  (occasional overtime)
• 2nd Shift: 4:45- 3:15 am 

Work Environment:

• Workshop setting with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Potential exposure to hazards such as sharp objects and moving equipment.
